Working Together to End Hunger
Now more than ever, we need your help!
Although a sense of normalcy is slowly returning to our city, for the tens of thousands of individuals living in poverty, the reality is very different.
This past year, there were almost 1.6 million food bank visits in Toronto. This is the highest number ever recorded in the city's history.
With food bank visits reaching unprecedented levels, it's more important than ever to ensure that our neighbours experiencing hunger can continue to access fresh, nutritious food. That's why we're holding a fundraiser to support Daily Bread Food Bank. And that's why we need your help.
What does it mean if you donate?
Every $1 donation will go towards providing one additional meal for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity. See some examples of what your donation can do below:
$1 = provide 1 meal
$10 = provide 10 meals (* donations of $10 or more are tax deductible)
$25 = can provide a family of four with 2-3 days' worth of meals
$50 = can provide a child with 2 weeks' worth of meals
$150 = can provide a couple with 1 month worth of meals
After they’ve paid for housing, the average food bank client has $9.17 left per day to cover all other expenses (including food). This makes it impossible for them to stock the recommended supply of provisions for their family. With your donation, you can help combat this inequality.
Click the "DONATE NOW" button to make a donation to Daily Bread and help support individuals and families experiencing food insecurity in our city.
*Donations of $10 or more will automatically receive an electronic tax receipt*
Thank you in advance for your generous support.
